Pakistan player Shahid Afridi was banned for two Twenty 20 international match because of ball tampering issue in the final ODI against Australia.Shahid Afridi captained the final match in the absence of his captain Mohammed Yousuf . Pakistan team was in a hopeless situation to win the final match since they lost all of their previous matches of the series . . he got caught in the TV cameras damaging the ball by bitting on two or three occasions in order to win the match. But the Australians won the match with 2 wickets and four balls to spare and caulked the series 5-0. Immediately after the match being ended, Match referee Ranjan Madugalle called Afridi regarding ball tampering issue . shahid Afridi accepted his tampering issue and excused for his misbehavior. He was then charged with article 2.2.9 offence of ICC Code of Conduct and was banned for the two next upcoming T20 international matches for Pakistan. He will miss a T20 against Austrailia and England each. With Mohammed Yousuf already being ruled out of series, with Afridi being banned and Younis Khan retired from this format, now the Pakistan selectors are in quandary of selecting a captain for the T20 match for upcoming matches.
